This renovation project mainly focuses on the complete refurbishment of a penthouse in Arrancapins while maintaining its original essence. The layout of the home met the client’s needs, allowing the renovation to center primarily on finishes.
Limited communication with the outdoor space through two small windows posed a major challenge given the size of the terrace. The solution was to expand the façade opening and install a large metal frame to blend the interior and exterior spaces. This large window became the focal point of the living-dining room, flooding the home with natural light. This area connects to a colorful, open-concept kitchen, where its modern style contrasts perfectly with the original mosaic floor.
The need for a home office was solved by sacrificing the smallest bedroom, opening it to the hallway to reduce passage space and create a much more pleasant workspace. The original kitchen was transformed into a spacious bathroom that also accommodated a large pantry and a laundry area.
To preserve the essence of the penthouse, high ceilings were maintained in all rooms, and some original details, like the old marble kitchen sink and a few interior doors, were restored. The choice of ceramic flooring aligned with the project’s functionality and character. The wood-effect ceramic flooring added warmth while reducing maintenance and increasing durability.
The renovation was completed with thoughtful interior design, featuring vintage-style furniture. The result is an exclusive penthouse in the center of Valencia, comprising two bedrooms, a home office area, a large bathroom with a laundry area, and an open-plan living-dining-kitchen space connected to a large terrace.
